Health and Healthcare

A natural by-product of the raw and living food lifestyle is increased health. This translates to decreased sickness, which in turn translates to decreased medical and healthcare intervention. While we all know that eating food that is good for us will result in better health outcomes, we still seem to need more evidence or some other motivation to take action. This mindset may have something to do with the instant or quick results we are promised by more than 100 diets on the market today. Eating well and practicing a balanced lifestyle, like that supported by the raw and living food movement, does not produce results overnight. It takes some time. It takes some discipline. Mostly, it takes the guts to do the thing that is right for you and for those that you love. It means we have to ignore 80 percent of the aisles in the grocery store, drive by every fast-food restaurant we see, and if we choose the path, eat our food in its fresh, natural, uncooked state.

In The Raw food Diet Myth, we discuss some of the roots and contributions by the raw and living food lifestyle and its health philosophy. We will also look at individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the raw and living food lifestyle by reaching out to people who are newly diagnosed with an acute illness or who are suffering from some chronic health issue. We’ll look first at the individual physicians and organizations that have used raw foods to heal. Then, we will look at healthcare practices that are consistent with the raw and living food lifestyle, and finally, we will profile organizations’ successes with healing through raw food. Where these organizations have been willing to share their data on their impact on others’ health, we will share that data with you as well.

“…an outstanding book for anyone who wants to understand the live-food way of life.”
